My research projects on the history of vaccines, vaccination, and chemical exposures in U.S. history have been supported by the:
-National Endowment for the Humanities
-National Institutes of Medicine/National Library of Medicine
-Science History Institute
-UCLA's Charles Donald O'Malley Research Fellowship-
-Emory University's Mellon Foundation Faculty Fellowship in Health and the Humanities; and
-the University of California, Berkeley.
My current research projects examine:
-the global history of measles (supported by the NIH and under contract with Polity Press)
-corporate influence over public understanding of health science in the U.S.
-the history of U.S. vaccination exemption policies
-mass poisonings and toxic exposures in U.S. history; and
-the history of vaccines and vaccination.
We wouldn't have vaccines without them.
